The Sea Owl 500 MkIV is a remotely operated underwater vehicle
system combining the small size and manoeuvrability of an
observation vehicle with the versatility of larger vehicles.
The
vehicle has an extreme manoeuvrability allowing movements
in six degrees of freedom, in all attitudes with an outstanding
stability. In addition the unique control system enable the
vehicle to operate in any direction, nose up or down or anything
between, even totally upside down under full control.
The
vehicle can be equipped with a number of video-cameras,
sonar’s
and tools for underwater work.
The system is excellent
for general purpose operations in shallow as well as in deep
waters. It has a long track record from operations in harsh
environments in the North Sea from Supply vessels or oil
platforms.
